The Women's Academy

Profile:

The Women’s Academy is a project of Project Africa that offers adult education and literacy skills to women in Rural Kenya. Project Africa has schools in Lungalunga and Kakamega, Kenya. The adult education Program currently serves 150 women and over 100 girls from both districts where they learn to read and write. Furthermore, girls get extra coaching every weekend in mathematics, English, social ethics and geography. The girls are also mentored on matters of sexuality and life goals.

In Lungalunga, Project Africa has started stocking books with an aim to establish a local library that will serve women and girls in this rural village. It is our hope that we partner with Boundless Books and their donors in this noble course.
