About The Boundless Books Project
Boundless Books is a six-week book writing program designed to cultivate creativity and team building with youth groups and in elementary classrooms. During weekly one-hour visits, the students are guided through the process of creating their own professionally published children’s book. Students work together to establish a theme, create characters and develop the storyline from start to finish. Each student contributes a full-page illustration. We then compile all of their work and put the story to rhyme. After the students conduct a final edit and pose for their author photo, the book is professionally published. All Boundless Books are available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other online retailers and the students are fully accredited author / illustrators!
Boundless Books was founded by longtime radio personality and children’s book author, Mark Eischen. A pilot program was introduced at the Syracuse Latin School in 2017. Since that time, Boundless Books has worked with over a dozen classes and youth groups, publishing 18 books to date.
One of the primary goals of Boundless Books is to continue to bring together students from different backgrounds to forge friendships and work together. In 2019, we were proud to publish “Jingle and the Tale of the Missing Bones”, a collaboration between Walberta Park Elementary (Westhill District) and Van Duyn Elementary (SCSD). “Lola’s First Day”, by Franklin Elementary (2023) is Boundless Books’ first bi-lingual book, written and published in both English and Spanish.
